Want to high five your best friend? Or send your girlfriend a kiss? Or tell your coworkers it’s time to head to happy hour? Psst! lets you send pre-written or customized phrases to your friends in the form of a push notification. We brought back the Crumbleme dream team to fast-track this app to launch for iOS and Android.
Fun
We built Psst! to be super fun to use. We wanted the entire experience to feel playful and silly. We worked with Humble Humans to design a style with bright, primary colors, and big, bulky buttons and text to keep this feeling throughout the app.
Push notifications
Everything in Psst! is a one-off message. It’s sort of like a micro greeting card for phones. We centered the bulk of the experience around native push messaging for iOS and Android. Of course, if the app happens to be open, you’ll receive an in-app notification as well. We tried to keep the experience as close to the native notification methodology as possible.
Content is king
When you first open the app, you see a list of topical categories for sending messages. From here, it’s just two taps and you’ve sent a Psst! Or if you slide to your contacts screen, you can start a Psst! with a friend, and then it’s two more taps to send your message. We kept everything as simple as possible. We wanted people to be in and out of the app for quick little one-off messages.
If you happen to be friends with us, then you’ve probably already been “karate chopped” or had us “drop it like it’s hot”. If not, get Psst! and join in the fun.
Like what you see?
If you have something extraordinary in mind, we'd love to help you build it.
